Buxton Water Advertisment Analysis and reflection

Buxton water
·       What do you understand about the brand/product from the advert?
The Buxton Water is suitable for everyone, 'naturally pumped up' from the ground
·       What is the narrative?
Four old gentlemen get off the car and grab their Buxton Water from the back of the car, then they walk into the sport ground and amazed other people (old ladies and young males). And after the four gentlemen drink the Buxton Water, one of them even do scratching.
·       Who is the main characters? (details)
The four old gentlemen, wearing grand sportswear (seems to be in a high position in society or wealthy) and with their Buxton bottles with a leather bag putting in.
·       What is the setting? (details)
In daytime at a sport ground, with people with high position in the society
·       Is the music important? Why? Describe it
The music is important provide the atmosphere to the audience, the music and the pitch represent what kind of situation is going on, The music is used to be used in a spy movie, by using this music may give audience an excitement.
·       How is cinematography used to communicate the message?
Using slow motion during the four gentleman walking into the sports field and to show that the atmosphere s imposing.
·       How is mise en scene used to communicate the message?
The mise en scene help audience may easily understand the settings, character’s different positions in the advertisement and what is the main story brings out by the advertisement by using props, lighting, and makeup.

A brand of beer, Carling

·       What do you understand about the brand/product from the advert?
Whenever you have got something not fortune, you may try a dip of the Carling’s beer.
It’s not just good, but carling (perfect).

·       What is the narrative?
It is about the man is trapped inside the office and he would like to escape in order to catch up the football game’s live casting.
Then, he is use lots of different creative ways to get change and escape.
But at last he cannot escape successfully since he got hit by the glass and grab others’ attention.

·       Who is the main characters? (details)
The office man, wearing formal suit, who is having creative ideas which help him to escape to building to catch the match.
The office man’s friend, who is wearing very casual, urging the office man try to figure way to get down and enjoy the match together.

·       What is the setting? (details)
In an office building, with lots of colleagues focusing on their work.
The superior are scolding the colleagues who are not trying to work hard.
And then downstairs with an outdoor café, people who are in the café look leisurely.
Also the building’s lobby, with lady standing in the reception and worker cleaning the floor.

·       Is the music important? Why? Describe it
With light and quick music used in the advertisement.
It gives you an exciting atmosphere, and everything is happening is a very fast way.
Since everything quite hilarious since the things happened in the advertisement may not easily happened in reality.

The camera is following the office man in order show the whole moving from his desk to the lift when the office man is using ways to escape.

When the office man is trying to look out from the shutter, another shot is used to film his friend looking at him (looking at the camera).

Recommend people to try the beer from Carling to see how perfect or exciting it is.

No, since I am still under 18 and I personally don’t like neither beer nor wine.
